Arena Simulation Statistics - Capturing Resource Utilization for a Time Period.

This example is used to illustrate the functionality of Periodic
statistics. Tracking metrics over a specified time period is
valuable in analyzing systems. The use of Periodic statistics
provides a tool to accomplish this.

This simple model has customers arrive over an 8-hour day
with the number of customer service personal specified by
a schedule. Over the 8-hour day there is at least 1 customer
service person with two resources defined during the lunch hours
of noon to 3 PM. The utilization of the resources and queue
lengths are captured during this time in the Statistic module. This
information could be invaluable to understanding whether staffing is sufficient and/or queue space and business rules are practical.

The model utilizes the user specified custom time period to capture
periodic statistics. This model measures the resource utilization
and queue length values over the Noon to 3 PM time period.

In this example the time period modeled is from 9am-5pm, 3 hours
into the simulation run is 12noon. This is why the Start Time period
defined is set to 3.

These values can be seen in the User Specified portion of the
statistics.
