Since Jordi Alba arrived at Barcelona from Valencia in 2012, he's been the master of the left-back position at the Camp Nou. One of the best full-backs in Europe, he's left a number of other talented players waiting on the bench as his backup. His latest victim is Junior Firpo. The former Real Betis player landed last summer for a considerable fee that could hit 30 million euros including variables. Junior Firpo arrived as someone who would play regularly in order to spare Jordi Alba, but he's only featured four times in LaLiga Santander, playing 90 minutes just twice. His last appearance came at Getafe and he scored that day, but he was even left out of the squad at Levante despite Alba coming into the game with some discomfort and Nelson Semedo occupied his place in the team.
