Something is desperately wrong when the food we buy in our supermarkets is produced by women and men who are forced to go hungry themselves, to work long, hard hours for little reward or to put up with appalling abuse from their bosses.
We refuse to accept that exploitation, poverty and human suffering should play any part in putting food on the shelves. Together, we can make sure the big supermarket chains put a stop to it for good.
As a customer, you have the right to know where and how the food you buy has been produced. Too much of the food on our supermarkets’ shelves is made at the expense of human welfare. You have the power to insist that supermarkets commit to ending the use of forced labor and inhumane treatment of the people behind every product on the supermarket shelf.
