There are 35,000 Yoga Studios in the U.S.
In 2020 there will be 55 million students and the industry will bring in 12 billion.
Very few yoga studios are using Facebook and even fewer are using it successfully.
For the last six years, I have been a member of the Yoga community. For the last three, I have been studying Ashtanga and attending shala six days a week.
What is the single most significant challenge for most Yoga Studios owners and teachers?
Marketing profitably and finding new students with long term engagement with the studio.
A tool that studio owners and yoga teachers are not fully utilizing is Facebook. Facebook reaches over two billion people. Facebook has the ability to reach your target audience and bring in new clients for untapped profits.
Plus Facebook loves video.
You can start an over 65 class, prenatal class, class for children 5-8. These niche markets will separate you from your competition (Gyms, Barre, Platies and other yoga studios).
Facebook can also show you how to grow online. Youtube and Instagram are flooded with yoga videos. But they are all the SAME video over and over. You can separate yourself apart by tying in your present students and offer extension classes in the history of yoga, additional stress release positions you can do at work, classes of the elderly that can’t leave their home and more. You can even do live chats.
These can evolve to a separate online business that can reach the worldwide community.
I am passionate about Facebook. One of the reasons is that I don’t think small and medium business owners understand fully how Facebook levels the playing field. If you have a great running Facebook campaign and your competition doesn’t... you are way ahead of the game.
