These are the world's Time Zones.

Time zones are based on the fact that the Earth is moved 15 degrees every hour. Since there are 24 hours a day, there are 24 standard time zones. (24 hours x 15º = 360º)
Time zones are counted from the Prime Meridian (0º longitude). Each time zone is counted at 15º intervals and extends 7½º on either side of a central meridian. For example, Sydney, Australia is in the 150ºE central meridian and the time zone covers all locations between 142½ºE and 157½ºE.

Tijdzones zijn gebaseerd op het feit dat de aarde elk uur 15 graden wordt verplaatst. Aangezien er 24 uur op een dag zijn, zijn er 24 standaard tijdzones. (24 uur x 15º = 360º)
Tijdzones worden geteld vanaf de Prime Meridian (0º lengtegraad). Elke tijdzone wordt geteld met intervallen van 15 º en strekt zich 7½ º aan weerszijden van een centrale meridiaan uit. Sydney, Australië ligt bijvoorbeeld in de 150ºE centrale meridiaan en de tijdzone omvat alle locaties tussen 142½ºE en 157½ºE.
