Staying Away from Open Door (how to maintain)

Once the behavior has been trained, this is what you should do each time you leave through a door:
1) grab treats (strategically placed nearby)
2) open door
3) toss treats behind the dogs
4) exit door

This will maintain the default behavior that they have learned (when the door is open, they should stand back away from the door without moving their feet). Do not do this if dogs have not demonstrated that they understand the cue and the behavior.
