Today I will show you my secret recipe to my famous sinigang my friends and relatives keep asking me about, how I achieved the well balanced sinigang dish and it’s unique flavor without taking away its natural sinigang flavor we love. This particular sinigang have health benefits because of the added important ingredient which is Astragalus also known as milkvetch.

Astragalus is an herb that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
It has many purported health benefits, including immune-boosting, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects.
Astragalus is believed to prolong life and used to treat a wide variety of ailments, such as fatigue, allergies and the common cold. It’s also used against heart disease, diabetes and other conditions.
Today's Recipe:
2 lbs pork belly and a pound pork country style ribs
1-2 lbs water spinach (kangkong)
4 taro roots cut in half
2 Anaheim or banana peppers
1 tomato (diced)
1/2 red onion (chopped)
3-4 cloves of garlic (chopped)
1-2 tbsp salt or kosher salt
2 cups of rice water
Water for boiling and broth (2 quarts or desired amount)
Fish sauce to taste
