평범한 사람들에게 특별함을 선물하고 싶은 또 한 명의 평범한 사람. 브랜드 ‘오디너리 피플ʼ의 디자이너 장형철에 대한 이야기다. 요리 전공자던 그는 ‘가슴이 뛰는 일ʼ을 하기 위해 패션계에 뛰어들었다. 현명한 변심(?)의 결과가 바로 오디너리 피플인 셈이고. 그의 작업은 브랜드 이름처럼 평범함 속에 숨어든 특별함을 찾고, 그것을 디자인으로 표현하는 것에서 시작된다. 여기에 ‘내가 입고 싶은 옷ʼ이란 진정성을 더해 완성도를 높인다. 10년에 가까운 시간 동안 그가 쌓은 신뢰와 차별화된 아카이브는 여러 차례의 해외 컬렉션과 성공적인 비즈니스로 확장됐다. 자아성취를 위해 시작한 소박한 게임이 세계를 대상으로 펼치는 빅게임이 된 것이다. 그에게 꿈은 더 이상 꿈이 아닐지 모른다.

Another ordinary person who wants to present specialty to the ordinary people. This is the story about Jang Hyeong-cheol, the designer of the fashion brand called “Ordinary People”. He jumped into the fashion industry to do something makes him feel exuberant. The brand, ‘Ordinary Peopleʼ is the result of his change of mind which turned out to be successful. His job is to find some hidden specialty from the ordinary stuff and make them into the design. His sincerity of ‘Clothes that I want to wearʼ has increased to the level of the perfection. Trust and differentiated archives have expanded into the several overseas collections and successful business. A small game that he has started for his self-achievement has become a ‘big gameʼ which is spreading towards the world. His dream may not be a ‘dreamʼ anymore.
