Emergency Case Decision: Musharraf Won't Come To Pakistan, Says Lawyer

Lawyer Yasser Latif Hamdani says that Musharraf had to be given death sentence because that is the only possible outcome of conviction in a high treason case. He says it can be turned into life sentence at best. However, it will be difficult to bring the former dictator back because capital punishment will help him stay abroad. He still has the right to appeal though and he can challenge the decision.

Former member of the prosecution team in General Musharraf case Haider Imtiaz says that Pakistan's constitutional order has been repeatedly sabotaged in the past but this decision against the former dictator is a landmark judgment that will help discourage future adventurers. This decision will go a long way in establishing the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution in the country.
