Here are some shots of the newly renovated 11foot8 +8 canopener bridge on Gregson St in Durham. Over the weekend, the newly raised bridge was cleaned up, sandblasted and painted. Yesterday, they moved all the equipment out and straightened out the tracks one more time. Today on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at 9:50 AM Gregson St. was re-opened and traffic started flowing again under the canopener bridge, now with a posted clearance of 12' 4" (3.76 meters). Although, when I measured the actual clearance it was 12' 8" (3.86 meters) at the crash beam.
