The Parliamentary Committee on Natural Resources has questioned the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. Eng. D'Ujanga Simon, over the influx of foreigners at mining sites in Buhweju and Mubende districts. The MPs say the foreign companies replaced the Artisanal miners and there is no data on whether they have work permits or if they remit taxes.
