I encourage you to close your eyes and see what you imagine. Music tells a different story to everyone.
What I picture when I play this:
I picture a dance between two people. Two people who have wanted to share a dance for a long time, but circumstance has prevented it. They start out nervous and fumbling over each other's feet, though they eventually find their rhythm and enter a state of trance, where they are dancing, gliding, floating effortlessly around the room in perfect harmony.
Their trance is broken when they become conscious of their environment again, becoming flooded with those nerves from the audience of people around them. They end their dance with the unresolved feeling of 'I wish had I kissed you'.
