Brand new Genuine Honda alternator fitted Dec 2014
New short Genuine Honda belt and revised routing Dec 2014.
New alternator has done approx 100k miles since fitted in 2014.
The clutch pulley on the alternator is a common problem.
It seems even with the revised shorter belt routing, the clutch pulley and bearings inside the alternator still gets stressed out and wear prematurely.
The tensioner Idler pulley has been checked and whilst there is alittle play and noise in its bearing, it is not the source of the clicking.

The tensioner idler pulley will be replaced for preventative maintenance
Quite disappointing, as it still seems the whole aux belt routing is still pretty tight and causing stress on the alternator bearings.
Will source a remanufactured alternator, new aux belt and ilder pulley.
