Sometime customers are ready to sign up for a service, sometimes they just aren't. Sometimes their expectation levels are reasonable and appropriate, sometimes they just aren't realistic.
I had to share a story of a conversation I had with a customer just yesterday when she asked why the driveway didn't look cleaner and scraped down to the pavement like it looks when she does it herself.
It wasn't an indictment or anything on our business or the service we performed, this was just a general inquiry about what we actually provide as a service. After a good half hour long conversation, I [hopefully] helped the customer see our view point, and help her with her expectations with hiring a contractor for the service she signed up for.
