Gluteus Medius Weakness With Low Back Pain | Pilates Exercises Fix! Hello Pilates Lovers!
welcome back to my channel. This video is focusing on the Gluteus Medius muscle weakness, I discussed the Anatomy and Function of this muscle before i demonstrated 7 exercises focusing on this muscle to strengthen to support the low back, pelvic area and most especially the hip ,which is one of your Glute muscles that help with your posture, balance and stability. If this muscle is strengthen, it will eventually help low back pain, aches, stiffness, assymetry of pelvis and decrease rotation of the hip during walking and standing and usually in one side of the hip and back.

Side lying position is a great alternative if lying on your back causes pain and discomfort.

7 simple exercises in this video are :
1. heel slides
2. reverse heel slides
3. side lying leg circles clockwise and counterclockwise
4.clam shell.
5. Clam Shell progression
6. Hip Internal rotation
7. Hip extension with abduction and internal rotation leg lift with kick backward

Quality is very important than quantity and I do believe performing 4 reps at a time is great way to master all the Pilates exercises in order to prevent injury then slowly progress to 10 reps..
