Omega Weapon is not only the toughest monster in Final Fantasy 8 Remastered but he is quite possibly the encounter that has had the most strategies devised to aid in taking him down. Now, some of those methods involve cheesy concepts that ensure he is dead even before the party takes a single point of damage. Don't get me wrong - those can be fun, but sometimes its cool to do things the old fashioned way :) For this video I decided AGAINST using the following:
Selphie's 'The End' (one shots Omega).
The new Remastered battle toggles / cheats.
Any Hero type items.
Now clearly, due to Omega's insane health of 1.2million, this fight is made for limit breaks. I settled on using Squall and Irvine for damage though both Rinoa and Zell provide great options too. A defensive third character is also useful and for me, Quistis is going to be fulfilling that role.
