Meet the brand-new Volkswagen Golf ! The eight generation of an automotive icon ! The new Golf looks definitely familiar. Only the head lights and rear lights feel really new.
The dimensions of this eight generation remains almost identical to the previous model. Volkswagen loaded the Golf 8 with cutting-edge technology and it starts with its engines :
It launches with five hybrid powertrains : Three are mid hybrids with 48-volt tech (110, 130 & 150 hp) and two plugin-hybrids (201 & 242 hp).
1 petrol engine (90 hp) and 2 diesel engines (115 & 150 hp) will also be available at launch.
The revolution of this new Golf is inside :
It comes standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.25-inch infotainment system display. A 10-inch infotainment screen is also available
The main competitors of this Golf are others famous hatchback : Toyota Corolla, Renault Megane, Peugeot 308, Audi A3, BMW 1 series, etc…
The new Volkswagen Golf 8 will be available in 2020 and the sporty models (GTI, GTD & R) will be announced next year.
