Lincoln Navigator 4x4 Diagonal test | The hill is just too small!

Lincoln Navigator 4x4 Diagonal test | The hill is just too small! We filmed the Lincoln Navigator a little while ago! So a diagonal test note first: this is a 4x4, not an AWD system! With the turn a knob, you can switch from RWD, 4x4, 4x4 AUTO or 4LOW by selecting the mode suitable to the conditions or your type of driving! The Navigator does the rest by adapting the steering and pedal response to traction control. Including 4-wheel drive (4WD) and suspension settings, and even the sound of the engine. So in our diagonal test of the Lincoln Navigator, the drive mode had a minor impact when switching into Auto mode, deep conditions, and slow climb! One thing is sure that Navigator is huge and our hill was just too small for it! Three modes are terrain and weather-related:
- Deep conditions, for snow, extremely muddy or sandy environments
- Slippery, for wet or icy conditions
- Slow climb, for steep terrain
The other three are based on the type of ride the driver desires:
- Normal, for an effortless, balanced ride
- Conserve, for efficient driving
- Excite, for a responsive, engaging ride

So even if the Lincoln Navigator has a limited off-road capability, it's 450-horsepower turbocharged V6 enables it to tow up to 8,600 pounds! That's impressive.

So check out our diagonal test of the new Lincoln Navigator 4x4!
