Why are American companies choosing to keep operations in China despite the ongoing trade war?

A fresh wave of tariffs between China and the U.S. went into effect on Sunday. A 15 percent tariff imposed by Washington will now affect the first tranche of a planned total of 300 billion dollars' worth of Chinese goods. The new U.S. tariffs essentially cover the whole range of imports from China whose retaliatory tariffs on 75 billion dollars' worth of American products also took effect immediately. But the fact is that despite the ongoing trade war, many American companies have decided to stay in China. Why are they making that choice? Professor Liu Chunsheng from Central University of Finance and Economics answers that question on CGTN.
