In this soldier's opinion, we must work together to silence hateful, no-solutions GOP media. They pit the lower and middle classes against each other, and within each other. Big Media is holding back the species with their negativity. Control of the media is the most important factor in winning any war. There is nothing more important than the control of production and dissemination of the means of propaganda.

Corporations are NOT people and do not deserve free speech protections. National unity is more important than propagating negativity/cynicism/hate without offering solutions. Political news media MUST move AWAY from hate-filled, corporate-owned television and radio that people can binge watch/listen and TOWARDS constructive, internet-based content that viewers decide for themselves to view with every click.

For this soldier, our current media paradigm is turning into a national security risk; we are risking the disintegrating national unity. This is exacerbated by a government ran by old rich people that are afraid to experiment, billionaires paying millionaires to divided us, and a public that passively consumes information without asking the question: "Who benefits from all this cynicism of programs meant to help the public?"

When the world sees that AMERICANS can be controlled with corporate media, money in politics and the demonizing of minorities, immigrants and poor people, the tyrants of the world follow suit. What happens to the world, if America doesn't escape this?

As it relates to the media, our current path is unsustainable. TV news is dying, so Fox News and corporate mainstream media are resorting to more and more divisive and inflammatory programming to maintain their ratings. They are simultaneously trying to cut deals with YouTube/Google to remove, censor and demonetize independent media programs. These programs are typically run by Americans with passionate journalistic spirits, who often toil in anonymity, uncompensated for months and years, before hitting a point where they simply begin to break even for their time and efforts researching.

These huge news and cable conglomerates have a dying audience and exist on television, a dying medium. But Big Media has the power and money to suppress independent actors who don't aren't already entrenched in the corporate mass media landscape. These conglomerates do not love America first. They love profits first. We need to move in the direction of tearing down Big Media for 3 reasons:

1. Control of the media is the most important factor in winning any war. There is nothing more important than the control of production and dissemination of the means of propaganda.
2. The MSM’s power on our attention spans is killing this country from the inside. I wish to hasten their end and sever the grip they are trying to get on internet-based news & political journalism, before they drag this country down with them and their negativity.
3. America must lead the world. If America does not lead, the species is held back as a whole.

Until the end of entrenched corporate news media arrives, Americans will continue repeating corporate media donor talking points and voting against the interest of their children and the human race. Neither party's establishment wings care about reliquishing Big News' stifling of the hearts and minds of Americans, whom are the minor input for things getting done in our political system (money is the MAJOR input).

Fox News and the Republican Party abuse the fact that human minds tend toward negative bias. They do not promote solutions. They make our conservative brothers and sisters ignore anything Progressives say, and they are ruining the unity in this country. The Democratic Party is simply GOP-lite, as it stands.

Look at how negativity sells: Fox News has been the top basic-cable channel for almost 20 years. Their average audience member is a 68-year old with high blood pressure, from persistent nervousness due directly to their attachment to negative political news,, but is HEAVILY involved politically. The rest of the media simply follows suit with whatever the most negative political news media offers. This results in a political system which disproportionately reflect cynicism. The youth will be the ones who live with the consequences. Fox News should be censored. All political news media should be online, chosen video by video, instead of on television, where one can sit like a mindless robot, coming to hate the other half of our country.
