ETLS Vs PTE
In short, the main difference between IELTS and PTE is that IELTS is a paper based exam, where you read and write your answers in paper, and the PTE is all computer based. In the case of IELTS the speaking part takes the form of an interview, and in the PTE you simply speak to the computer. ITELS has a maximum score of 9.0 and PTE has a maximum score of 90. I find the PTE Academic as a more difficult exam than the IELTS, because of the complex content and vocabulary used in the questions, as the listening and reading passages can be based on academic readings, making it difficult for someone that doesn't have a good grasp of the language.
advantages of PTE over IELTS
The major point is PTE is a computer based exam so if you have a very bad handwriting which you think will be very difficult to the examiner to understand , i strongly suggest you to do PTE insted of IELTS ,,
IELTS exam takes the entire day and sometimes it takes more than one day to complete the entire exam , but in PTE its a matter of 3 hours , in that u can complete the entire exam
in terms of results also ielts will take arround 14 days but PTE publish the results in 2 to 5 days
in IELTS ur results may vary depends on the mood of the examiner cuz the paper is evaluated by a human, but in pte evaulation is done by the computer , so there is no human factor in pte exam
i am not saying pte is alwasy better than ielts . because
pte is not as popular as ielts cuz u can only use pte result in australia or new zealand and in some europen countires for education purposes ,
if your typing skill is not great i wont suggest you to attend he pte exam
and pte is a time game .. you should have very good level of concentration .cuz if you lost ur concentration for one minutes there is a high chance that u will miss the question
