Barnier: no-deal Brexit will never be EU choice

(22 Aug 2019) The European Union's lead Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said on Thursday "no-deal will never be the choice of the EU" in regards to Brexit.

On Thursday, Barnier met with European Council President Donald Tusk to discuss the current Brexit tension with the United Kingdom government led by Boris Johnson.

Tim Barrow, United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the EU, was seen entering the European Council headquarters a few minutes before Barnier.
