How the Fish Hobby Addiction Starts. From One Betta to 30 Aquariums. MTS (Multiple tank syndrome). It always starts with a betta or goldfish...or 10/20 gallon community aquarium for the kids...but soon the african diving frogs and neon tetras creep in...then the angels and cichlids... maybe you say "im fine, ill keep small animals...nano tank! shrimp tanks, cherry shrimp, then 50 dollar blue bolts and king kongs, pretty soon your selling to support your habbit... creating your own fish lines...soon your chopping up lines and boom you need grow out tanks, so your discus or flowerhorns or puffers have space...but you can't get rid of the first fish, that would be a tragedy... 20 tanks later.... it's MTS ...so you say...ill go hightech planted, ill be better ... consolidate...pretty soon you have aquascaping in the blood...your main lining upkeep on the daily and selling those grow outs just for an ounce of some rare moss or buce... then you hit bottom...stick with 3 to 6 tanks of your tried and true...your ride or die.... and you have completed MTS


obviously addiction isn't funny... get help if you're ruining your life and those around you - even if it's not drugs, alcohol or gambling...even if...sigh...it's fish... everything in moderation...UNLESS YOUR RICH....THEN PARTY ON MTS!
