Did Kathleen Kennedy hire Rian Johnson to 'destroy' STAR WARS?

Nerdrotic got a hot tip from an unnamed source at Lucasfilm that suggested that Kathleen Kennedy (and Bob Iger) hired JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson to destroy STAR WARS by rebooting the canon mid-trilogy. This of course is not backed by any real sources, and even quotes from the people involved (over the span of a few years) have suggested otherwise. The demise of THE LAST JEDI, and the current state of the STAR WARS brand is more to do with poor planning than a diabolical way to screw over George Lucas.
