Using Cement to imitate a Collarino or Camillus to an Attic Column Stoneimitation Concrete Column. The frequently used attic base consists of two convex ridges (torus) and an intermediate groove (trochilus). They are each separated by thin platelets with a vertical profile. It is used in both the ionic and Corinthian columns. Due to the succession of plates with diameters becoming larger towards the bottom and alternating profiling, the transition to the large footprint is optically intercepted and aesthetically softened. Only the Doric order does not use a base and places the column shaft directly on top of the temple base.
