Trump administration's new rules seek to curb asylum claims The Trump administration introduced new rules to try to curb the number of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S. Under the new measures, migrants who have failed to apply for asylum in the first country they travel to on their way to the U.S. will be ineligible to receive asylum.
