Securian Financial's Warren Zaccaro stresses the vital role CFOs play in sustainability

Warren Zaccaro, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Securian Financial gives three reasons why sustainability is important for businesses today.

The US chapter of The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) CFO Leadership Network launched in San Francisco on the 18th April 2019 at an event hosted by Salesforce.

The Network currently comprises eight CFOs from large businesses, with total combined assets of over $226 billion. More CFOs are set to join with an East Coast launch later this year.

The CFOs joining the Network are looking to create sustainable businesses that deliver financial returns in the short and long term, in a way that generates positive value for society and operates within environmental constraints.
