9. Flamethrower Gauntlets
Fire is often a superpower that many people want to have despite its destructive capabilities. Usually, the problem with literal firepower is control. So for inventor Allan Pan, he wanted to give himself, and potentially others, a gadget that would ensure that the person would have control over the fire that they "make". So, he made punch-activated flamethrowers that would only work when certain criteria were met.
8. Bulletproof Armor
In this day and age there are many items that can make you "bulletproof" to a certain extent. However, most things, including Kevlar, SWAT shields, and more only protect a certain part of your body. The ideal scenario would be where “bullet proof” meant that our whole body could be protected from bullets. Former Mythbuster and grand inventor Adam Savage took on the challenge of making a literal suit of armor that would be bulletproof. But more specifically, he decided to make the Iron Man Mark II armor.
7. Electronics Control
Many tech companies have implemented strategies that are meant to allow users of various electronic devices to control them with simpler methods, including face recognition software or using voice commands. But, one company decided that they wanted to take that a step further and make it even easier. So they made the Thalmic Labs’ Myo Armband.
6. Super Strength
All of us have adrenaline and when it kicks in, it can give us a rush of extra strength needed to do incredible things. However, it's not constant, and will burn out, so many companies, including the military, have been working on a way to give soldiers constant superstrength in the field, and while it isn’t adrenaline, the solution is pretty cool. 5. Sticky Gloves
For the character Spider-Man, one of his important powers is that his skin (and by extension his suit) allows him to cling to just about anything (for the most part). Though believed to be fictional outside of certain animals, many companies, including the military have been working on making gloves that can do just that.
4. Thermal Cameras
A more basic superpower, but one that is still very useful, is the ability to use "super vision" to see inside a building to determine who or what is inside before you penetrate it. This can come in many forms, including X-Ray vision and even a radar sense like Daredevil. However, one that is actually in use by many law enforcement agencies today, is Thermal Vision cameras.

Flight continues to be one of the biggest things that humans want in terms of super powers. Mainly because even though we can fly in planes and helicopters, we can't just spread our wings and fly ourselves. Or at least, not yet. But over the many decades, the military and several private investors have tried to make their own jetpack, hovercraft, flying machines, and more.
2. Enhanced Hearing
Any enhancement of one of the five main senses can be considered a superpower, and to that end, enhanced hearing is something that is not only available, it's used regularly by many people in the form of hearing aids. In fact, there are some who use hearing aids to such effect that they feel they hear better than they ever heard before. Super hero gadgets are already at work!
1. Invisibility
Invisibility is right up there with flying for one of the top super powers that people want. While it may be seen as a pretty sneaky power, since why do you want to be invisible anyway? But, as you know it is a great way to hide if someone is after you or if you want to disappear in a crowd! I mean, I don’t know who is after you, but it was very useful for Harry Potter!
