Milk paint Chipping effect & How to get that lovely uneven color tone

So, then it was time to do some work in the children's room again. I found an old chest of drawers (which was - as always when I buy furniture - much larger than I had first imagined). Right from the start, I could imagine the piece in front of me in a pastel / mint green hue.

I started with covering the entire piece with Annie Sloan's Honfleur (her brown color) to make it look like old wood underneath.
Then I actually chose to pick up an old love that I didn't use for a very long time - Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint!
The first color layer I painted with was a custom made color mix, equal parts Eulalie's Sky and Layla's Mint. It came out as a really lovely pastel green that was quite blue in tone. With Hemp Oil between each color layer to get the color to come off easily in a flaking effect (chipping effect), I painted the piece in three different layers of paint, each time I used the same paint mix, but I added another splash of Layla's Mint, only to get different levels in the green color.

The piece became what I had imagined from satrt and it fits perfectly in the children's room even though it's size, haha!
