About 500 old buildings in Singapore may have to be equipped with the latest fire safety upgrades, with proposed changes to the law announced in Parliament on July 8. Mr Benedict Koh, president of the Fire Safety Managers' Association of Singapore, said that it is no surprise that laws have to be updated regularly, as structures become more complex and sophisticated.
