St. Joseph, Worker of Sanctification - May 01 - Homily - Fr Matthias

St. Joseph, Worker of Sanctification - May 01 - Homily - Fr Matthias On the memorial of St. Joseph the Worker (May 01), Fr. Matthias gives the homily on how work is a means of sanctification and sustenance, not an end in itself.

Pope Pius XII instituted this feast in 1955 as a response to the Communist dehumanization and degradation of work, offering St. Joseph as a model for Christian workers, to teach the principle of the holy, spiritual, and supernatural ends to which human work should be directed. Our principle work is to transform ourselves according to the Divine Revelation of what is good for man.
