Though exit-poll surveys from multiple different agencies mostly point to a decisive victory for the NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, opposition leaders argue against the credibility of such polls. Leaders from the ruling party are however confident that the actual figures would surpass even the estimates obtained from the surveys. Questions are also being raised over EVMs and opposition parties led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu plan to appeal to the Election Commission to conduct a paper audit trail of at least 50% of the votes calculated by the electronic voting machines.
