Is it Possible to Make Sonic Give up in Each Boss Fight in Sonic CD?

As we all know, Sonic is a brave little creature who will never back down from any fight and won't give up until the bitter end.

However, we also know that he is quite the impatient so-and-so, and nowhere is this more apparent than in Sonic CD; should you leave him waiting for around 3 minutes, he'll have enough, jump off the stage and you'll get an instant Game Over.

But lately, I've been wondering something: is it possible to make him stand still long enough in each boss battle to do this during them? Well, that's what I aim to find out...
