OK so first off, sorry about the sound quality in this video. There is intermittent wind noise but IMO it's still watchable which is why I uploaded it.
That said, let's talk about calorie counting and fasting.
I think it's a huge waste of time for most people. If you're a professional athlete or preparing for a bodybuilding competition, ok you can count your calories.
But for most people who are just casually trying to lose weight and get a nicer body, I think it's completely unnecessary.
Yes, it can be helpful for some people who will become more disciplined by logging everything they eat. But in my experience, people who count calories do so because they want to avoid working out.
In fact, in my experience it seems like people will do all kinds of crazy stuff to avoid going to the gym. Which is crazy to me because working out gives so many benefits: better body composition, an endorphin rush, and the ability to make other people jealous that they don't look like you.
You can count calories if you want. Just make sure you're not doing it to avoid exercise.
