A short tutorial to visualize Arduino ultrasonic sensor readings with Processing. Very useful for detecting obstacles and environment mapping for robots. components and ports:
1 arduino uno
1 ultrasonic sensor (trigPin = 6, echoPin = 7)
1 micro servo (port 3)
connecting wires
steps:
1. type in arduino radar code (the link to download will be below)
2. run and upload the arduino code
3. test the arduino serial monitor
4. close the arduino serial monitor
5. type in processing radar code (the link to download can be clicked below)
6. run the processing code, but make sure the port matches the arduino serial monitor
7. make sure the sensor reading is correct
