Please Subscribe now! - The flaming Night King spiral in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 1 was a mysterious message. This video discusses why it was left there, what part it will play in episode 2, and how it might be tied to the ending of the Game of Thrones series. Since the Night King can’t communicate with our heroes Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Bran Stark can he be trying to reach them through this spiral symbol.

Spirals are symbols we’ve seen the White Walkers use before. We know that they were originally created by the Children of the Forest, and that we’ve seen them near the weirwood tree where the Children created the Night King. In s8 e1 the image of a spiral is made with Ned Umber’s wight, and body parts from the victims at Last Hearth. As Beric Dondarrian catches the symbol on fire with his burning sword we get an image that has to have importance to the story.
Will Bran Stark use this information to look for information in the weirwood network on how to defeat the Night King? Does this tell us what the Night King wants?
