The 2019 NFL Draft is next week and the Dallas Cowboys draft rumors are swirling. There are plenty of Cowboys draft targets and Cowboys Report host Tom Downey is back with his list of players the Cowboys could select in the 2nd round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Tom breaks down the players the Cowboys are most likely to draft and what each of them could offer to the Cowboys. He also has a few honorable mentions of players who have been rumored as Cowboys target. The Cowboys biggest NFL Draft needs are on defense, more specifically at safety and defensive end. Safeties Juan Thornhill and Taylor Rapp would be home run NFL Draft picks in Round 2. If the Cowboys want to go defensive line, L.J. Collier and Zach Allen would be great additions in the NFL Draft. Christian Miller & Jaylon Ferguson each have red flags, but they could offer help on the defensive line as well.
For the Cowboys, Wide Receiver isn’t a pressing need, but Deebo Samuel would be an excellent WR and another weapon for Dak Prescott.The Cowboys could also look at safeties Johnathan Abram & Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. Cornerback isn’t a pressing need, but Isaiah Johnson would be a good addition as the Cowboys have a pair of starting CBs entering the final year of their deals in Byron Jones and Anthony Brown.
